Patient care and support
- Assist physical therapists in guiding patients through prescribed exercises and activities.
- Help patients with mobility and transfers, and provide encouragement.
- Monitor patient progress during sessions and report any changes to the physical therapist.
- Provide patient education on exercises and home care instructions, as directed.
Treatment area and equipment management
- Prepare treatment areas by setting up equipment and making sure the space is clean and organized.
- Clean and sanitize treatment areas and therapy equipment after each use.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any maintenance needs.
Administrative and clerical duties
- Maintain patient records and update charts with progress notes.
- Monitor inventory of supplies, and perform other clerical tasks as needed.
